
Currently Bernd Ebersberger holds a professorship for innovation management and economics with the MCI Management Center Innsbruck, Austria.
Bernd Ebersberger received his MA in Economics from Wayne State University , Detroit, Michigan, in 1994 and his MBA from the University of Augsburg in 1997. In 2001 he received a PhD in economics from the University of Augsburg .
From 1997 to 2002 Bernd Ebersberger held a researcher post with the University of Augsburg . From 2002 on up until 2004 he was senior researcher and team leader at VTT Technology Studies , Espoo, Finland, at the same time visiting researcher at Statistics Finland , Helsinki, Finland. From 2004 to 2006 Bernd Ebersberger has been with the Innovation Systems & Policy department of Fraunhofer ISI in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Bernd Ebersberger in the scientific advisory board for the educational program Management of Innovations, Products and Processes and Management of Patents and Licenses with the MCI Executive education. Within the Management Center Innsbruck, Bernd Ebersberger also coordinates the internal R&D Services.
In his research Bernd focuses on policy relevant issues in the context of the innovation system and innovation policy analysis, on internationalization of innovation activities and on open and interactive modes of innovation.
