Moscow is the capital city and the most populous federal subject of Russia. The city is a major political, economic, cultural and scientific center in Russia and in Eastern Europe. The city has approx. 12 million inhabitants.Moscow is situated on the Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia making it the world's most populated inland city. The city is well known for its unique architecture which consists of many different historic buildings such as Saint Basil's Cathedral with its brightly colored domes. With over 40 percent of its territory covered by greenery, it is one of the greenest capitals and major cities in Europe and the world, having the largest forest in an urban area within its borders—more than any other major city—even before its expansion in 2012.
Since its inception the Institute of Business Studies (IBS-Moscow) within RANEPA has been a leader in the Russian business education market. IBS-Moscow is a collegiate business school operating on RANEPA's premises in Moscow. IBS-Moscow was founded in 1988 within the Moscow State University of International Relations nationally known for its strong international expertise. In 1994, IBS-Moscow transferred to RANEPA.
IBS-Moscow has provided educational services to a total of over 30,000 students and managers from Russia and CIS countries.
