23 Things – Building Digital Skills

Target Group

MCI Students from all departments who are interested in developing their digital skills and are prepared to spend about 60 minutes of their time each week to complete the tasks given.

 

Content

The 23 Things program introduces a range of tools and topics relevant to digital skills development, with a focus on their application in your academic and professional context. It covers the use of social media as well as tools for content creation, self-management, and self-development. Aspect such as digital well-being and online safety are also included.

 

Description

This program is designed to expose you to a range of digital tools and topics that are useful for your personal and professional development as a student and as a professional. After an introduction to the program, you will be spending about 60 minutes each week to work through a number of tasks designed to encourage you to engage with the tools and topics of that week, and to reflect on how they could be useful for you. New content, tasks and further information will be released each week on the 23 Things Sakai site, and you will get an email reminder to complete the tasks, which you can do at your own pace and in your own time.
