Mérida is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Yucatán and the Yucatán Peninsula. It has approx. 750,000 inhabitants. It is the largest of the 4 cities of the world that share the name -the other three being in Spain, Venezuela, and Philippines.
The university belongs to the christian confraternity Legiòn de Cristo. It was founded with the support of local businesspersons and teaches Management, Tourism, Accounting and Law.
The university does not offer accommodation in dormitories, but helps students to find private housing. The cost of living in Merida is much lower than in Austria, the same is true for rents.
