the Social Cave is looking for support

Date 21.01.2026

the Social Cave is a non-profit media organisation based in Innsbruck, built by a growing collective of creatives, strategists, organisers and activists who use storytelling, media production and community work to support NGOs, initiatives and social movements. What started as a small idea has grown rapidly into a team of around 40 people, all currently contributing on a voluntary basis, driven by shared values, purpose and the belief that media can create real impact.

They are now super excited to kick off the next stage of the Social Cave journey and bring their association to new locations.

As theyenter this next phase, the Social Cave is keen to ensure that whilst they want to grow quickly, they want to grow sustainably. Over the next few months, their expanded International Relations Team will be working hard to develop a robust strategy which sets us up for success. Whilst they have ambitious goals (Hint: New locations established by end-2026), their priority is to create a strong, well-thought-out blueprint that enables future teams to succeed.

To support this process, the International Relations Department is recruiting.

They are currently looking for motivated people to lead and support in the following roles:

  • Project Support (the Social Cave International Expansion Strategy)
  • Project Manager (International Partnerships)
  • Project Support (International Partnerships)
  • Graphic Design (International Partnerships)
  • Graphic Design (the Social Cave International Expansion Strategy)
  • Administration Support (the Social Cave International Expansion Strategy)
  • Administration Support (International Partnerships)
  • Project Management Process Improvement Specialist

To clarify the scope, the Social Cave International Expansion Strategy focuses on setting up new Social Cave associations in different locations. The International Partnerships roles focus on building relationships, developing projects and strengthening networks with NGOs and non-profit organisations internationally. They also aim to explore partnerships with international alliances and institutions, including at EU level.

All roles are currently voluntary. What the Social Cave offers in return is the chance to actively shape a fast-growing organisation, work with a highly motivated and diverse team, gain hands-on experience in international strategy and partnerships, and be part of something built from the ground up with real purpose and momentum.
