Young Europe Summer Summit

Join the Young Europe Summer Summit in the beautiful Folk High School Krogerup Højskole in the Danish city of Humlebæk for a week-stay from August 14– 20 2022.

For a week, more than a hundred young people from all over Europe will gather to debate, learn, create and to make their voice heard on the future of Europe.

During the Summer Summit, participants will explore issues of particular relevance for the European youth. Participants will engage in different topics and furthermore get the opportunity to receive local leadership resources, share best practices on activism and on achieving the sustainable development goals and become part of a pan-European network to further support their work as youth change-agents.

There will be workshops, creative labs, lectures, music, sport and excursions. You will choose one out of five thematic areas, in which you will dive into with your group during the week. The topics are:

  • Migration and Justice
  • Technology and Democracy
  • The New Economy
  • Climate and Environment
  • Polarisation in Europe

 

Due to a limit of participants for the Summer Summit, the applicants must live up to these few but important elegibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be between 18-30 years old at the time of applying
  • Applicants must be EU citizens
  • Explain you motivation, expectations and experience (box in the application)
  • List your priorities of topics from 1-5 (1 is your favorite)

 

The fee of participating in the Summer Summit is 267€.

It is possible to apply for a scholarship where we cover the fee of participation. If you wish to apply for the scholarship you have to write that in the application.

  • We cover your transportation costs to Denmark up to a certain amount worth an interrail ticket. We strongly encourage you to travel on ground, if possible.
  • We cover all meals and accommodation during the week in Denmark
