    The Intercultural Communication for Work course aims to equip students with essential skills and insights for successfully navigating negotiations and communication in diverse cultural contexts. Throughout this comprehensive course, students will delve into the intricacies of cross-cultural interactions, examining how cultural differences impact negotiation strategies, communication styles, and relationship-building.

    Upon successfully completing the course, students will possess a comprehensive understanding of cross-cultural negotiation dynamics and effective communication strategies. They will be well-equipped to navigate diverse cultural contexts, build successful business relationships, and achieve positive negotiation outcomes in an increasingly interconnected global landscape. This course aims to empower students to engage confidently and respectfully with counterparts from different cultural backgrounds, contributing to successful cross-cultural collaboration and communication.

    Case Studies and Practical Application:

    Analysing real-world case studies to apply course concepts to practical scenarios. Participating in simulations and role-play exercises to hone negotiation and communication skills.

    Reflective Learning:

    Throughout the course students are encouraged to reflect on their own cultural biases, assumptions, and growth throughout the course. Students will foster self-awareness and continuous improvement in intercultural communication.

    Transferable Skills:

    As part of their reflection and application activities, students will develop the following transferable skills: Global Awareness, Intercultural Competence, Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Cultural Intelligence, Problem-Solving, Perspective Taking, Critical Analysis, Decision-Making, Contextual Understanding.

    At the end of this module, students will be able develop a deeper understanding of their own strengths, working style, and preferences in a team environment and to be able to enhance their communication skills by articulating their strengths, working style, and preferences in a clear and concise manner.
