In the course “Business Intelligence and IT Systems”, we aim to introduce you to the way data and their analysis can support decision-making. We will cover the basics of reporting and analytics with examples of business applications and practical exercises in MS Power BI.
Having completed this course, you will have acquired the theoretical knowledge as well as hands-on experience to be able to:
• Understand business intelligence processes and BI architecture
• Be able to communicate with IT professionals and define data requirements
• Be able to assess data sources concerning their value added to decision-making
• Select appropriate visualizations for a given problem and design user-centered dashboards
• Have a basic understanding/overview of BI applications and know-how on an appropriate selection of tools and services
• Explain how data and analytics enable and support intelligent business decisions
