Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Students are able to combine process engineering plants from different unit operations and devices. They know the fundamental phases of planning and construction of technical plants. They are able to draw mass and energy balances as well as flowcharts. Besides, they can estimate investment cost. They are able to layout essential systems and single components of plant equipment.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions, calculation examples and individual and group work.
