COVID19-UPDATE

Attendance of courses at MCI suspended until further notice

Dear students,

With regard to the current situation of the spreading COVID-19 virus and our international community of lecturers and students, we have decided to take a precautionary approach in consultation with the responsible authorities and the other Tyrolean universities. Thus,

all courses taking place on campus are suspended beginning today until further notice.

With regard to the affected attendance and on-campus courses, lecturers and the heads of the study programs will determine specific measures to be taken and inform you about them promptly (e.g. distance learning, virtual teaching, use of digital materials, postponement of dates, alternative assessment forms, etc.).

This temporary suspension of on-campus courses - we are currently expecting a period of about two to three weeks - does NOT mean that the MCI will generally be closed. Online courses, examinations, and course formats in small groups can generally still take place. Please refer to the information provided by your study program and check your email account, Sakai pages, etc. regularly. In addition, please observe the respective official regulations (e.g. students and lecturers from risk areas), adhere to the recommended hygiene measures, and inform your study program administration if you or your close environment are being affected by a COVID-19 infection.

We are asking persons

not enter the MCI premises. This also applies to visitors and guests.

We will do everything we can to ensure that the progress of our students can be secured in the best way possible and we are confident that, with a professional approach to this issue, a normalisation of conditions can be achieved in the foreseeable future.
