    • are familiar with fundamental isolated DC/DC converters
    • are familiar with the methods to derive voltage transfer ratios for DC/DC converters
    • are able to analyze DC/DC converters
    • are familiar with fundamental resonant converters
Course contents
  • • Basic isolated DC/DC converter topologies
    • Basic design considerations for flyback, forward and push pull topologies
    • Calculation methods for transients, voltage transfer ratios and losses in isolated topologies
    • Fundamentals of resonant converter topologies
    • Serial and parallel resonant cisrcuits
    • Continuous and discontinuous induction current mode

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
