  • Erlernen und Erfahren von methodischer, sozialpädagogischer Handlungskompetenz in der Begleitung und Beratung von Jugendlichen, jungen Menschen und Erwachsenen in Entwicklungskontexten oder in schwierigen Lebenssituationen im Rahmen verschiedener Hilfekontexte.

    This module will support students to learn how to maximise the relational opportunities in their work through the coherent, ethical framework for practice that is social pedagogy.
Course contents
  • Through practical experience students have consolidated their knowledge of general methods of direct intervention; they are capable, through a knowledge-based approach, to apply additional specific methods of direct intervention in the areas grief work, group work, various types of conflict solution, and applied methods of social pedagogics, to plan these interventions by using case-management methods, to reflect them, and to evaluate the progress and results of these interventions.

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work including experiential learning activities.
