Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • The students know different perspectives on the enterprise. They gain an insight into the dynamics of enterprises, with a focus on organizational development and are familiar with important theories, concepts, models and instruments of building and managing organizations. Students will be able to critically reflect on the influence of selected factors on the behavior of individuals, groups and organizations. They understand the different effects of change on the different levels of the organization. They learn the basics of the influence of cultural characteristics on perception and behavior in the organizational context.
Course contents
  • • Influence of individual factors on behavior, such as personality, perception, motivation, attitudes, etc.
    • Influencing factors at the group level, such as communication, decision-making, leadership, power, etc.
    • Organizational factors such as organizational structure, organizational climate and culture, change, etc.

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
