Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • The students
    - Know the common methods for injury prevention and how to apply them.
    - Are familiar with typical injury patterns in sports (ACL, concussions, CTE, etc.).
    - Know the diagnostic methods both in medical and rehabilitation contexts (e.g., Lachman test, balance tests, etc.).
    - Are aware of common reconstruction measures for injuries and their consequences.
    - Understand the PECH rule and how to apply it in case of injuries in sports.
    - Know the structure of case studies and are able to interpret them.
    - Understand the functionality of devices used in rehabilitation (e.g., MFT plates, myo-stimulators, etc.).
    - Are familiar with the sensors used in rehabilitation devices.
    - Know basic methods for pain assessment.
    - Are familiar with the ICF – International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health.
