Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Students
    • understand the algorithms behind the standard electrical engineering simulation programs,
    • are capable of performing sensitivity analyses,
    • and familiar with stochastic simulation methods and capable of using some of them (e.g. Monte Carlo analysis),
    • are capable of creating mixed-mode simulation models,
    • know how to perform various types of field simulation,
    • know how to perform both conductor-based and non-conductor-based wave propagation simulation
Course contents
  • • Working with SPICE-P programs
    • Analysis methods (sensitivity analysis, Monte Carlo analysis)
    • Mixed-mode simulation with SPICE derivatives (e.g.TinaCloud)

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
