• Fundamentals and definitions of the virtual world
• Location of the virtual space in the theories of social work
• The three mandates of social work in virtual space
• Digitization as a resource for social work at the micro-meso and macro level
• introduction to online consulting; Online participation; Digitization of social institutions, social change through social media
• Challenges of digitization: cyberbullying; Cyber Porn; predictive profiling; Online radicalization; Dealing with social media
• Introduction to privacy
• Human rights and the Internet

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
