Learning outcomes of the course unit

(1) An overview of international leisure and tourism trends
(2) Market development of key players in the tourism market (in particular
airlines, travel corporations etc.)
(3) Consumer foresight and leisure trends
(4) Product innovations in international tourism (destination and hospitality
management)
Students are acquainted with central trends of the tourism and leisure
industries. They recieve an overview of current developments in the
international tourism market as well as professional insights into innovations
of touristic products around the globe.

- International leisure and tourism trends
- Trends and developments in the sports and recreation industry
- The exploitation of tourist areas
- Spatial and architectural developments in alpine tourism

The course is based on an interactive combination of lectures, student
participation and practical sessions.
