Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Students acquire in-depth technical and methodological skills in the field of scientific work, exemplified by the current research focuses of the degree program. In particular, students gain a comprehensive insight into all current R&D activities of all technically relevant research areas of the MCI and the respective state of knowledge.
    In addition to their scientific skills, students gain a basic understanding of the central basic assumptions of economic theory and are able to identify and discuss microeconomic and macroeconomic models and laws. They gain insights into the basic behavioral assumptions of economic actors and can understand market phenomena on the basis of abstract economic models of individual economic decisions. In addition, they recognize the economic interrelationships in the aggregate and can correctly classify and analyze the macroeconomic framework conditions, design options and schools of thought with regard to their influence on corporate management. Finally, they will be able to identify and analyze current developments against the background of economic theory.

  • The learning content covers the following areas and sub-chapters:
    1. the concept of organization
    2. framework conditions for the design of organizations
    3. basic elements of the organization: structural organization, process organization
    4. personnel management and strategic orientation of companies
    5. process and cross-sectional functions of personnel management; core processes:
    - Personnel requirements planning - human resources
    - Personnel selection, deployment and introduction
    - Personnel retention: working conditions, forms, employee satisfaction and health
    - Personnel development
    - Personnel remuneration / incentive systems
    - Release of personnel
    - Organization of personnel management
    - Personnel marketing and employer attractiveness
    - Personnel information
    - Personnel controlling
    6. personnel management in the field of tension of changed work & ethics:
