Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
    - Apply systems thinking to analyze complex public health challenges.
    - Design evidence-based public health interventions informed by systems approaches.
    - Demonstrate effective team leadership and collaboration in multidisciplinary settings.
    - Communicate persuasively and clearly with stakeholders, both in written reports and oral presentations.
    - Translate public health challenges into policy recommendations by using tools such as policy briefs and participatory research methods.
    - Understand legal and policy frameworks at international, EU, and national levels and their relevance to public health interventions.
Course contents
  • 1.Project Development and Implementation
    - Formulation of health promotion policies for the Regional Government of Tirol
    - Application of systems thinking and evidence-based approaches to policy-making

    2.International and Regional Laws
    - Applying legal analysis in health policy development
    - Overview of relevant policies (EU, WHO, national)

    3.Coaching and Peer Learning
    - Regular feedback and coaching sessions
    - Group reflection on team dynamics and performance
