EU eligibility of the project “Around the end of life”- Strategic perspectives for Insieme Beratung

Date 2025-07-23

Can the association Iniseme Beratung receive EU funding for the project “Around the end of life” and if so, under what conditions would this realistically

and strategically make sense?

THE CHALLENGE

The creation of a sound basis for deciding whether and under which conditions EU funding is realistic and sensible. This involved analyzing success factors and challenges, evaluating possible funding programs and deriving specific strategic recommendations for action.

OUTCOMES

EU funding is possible, but requires a strategic approach:

  • Use of national contact points and early consultation
  • Gain experience with national funding programs in preparation
  • Clear allocation of roles, stable consortia and realistic resource planning (budget, personnel, project management)

challenges for the Insieme consulting association:

  • Low success rates and high costs are often underestimated
  • Applications require time, specialist expertise and internal resources
  • Late applications or unclear responsibilities in the consortium can lead to exclusion

Success factors for EU funding:

  • The thematic fit is crucial: the project must exactly match the respective call for proposals
  • Statement from the experts: “Project seeks program - not the other way around”
  • Sensitive topics such as the end of life are also generally eligible for funding - with good argumentation and structure

Most important EU funding programs for Insieme consulting: EU$Health, ESF+
