TEACHING & LEARNING Providing feedback efficiently – Sakai can help Feedback is an important aspect of the learning process. It helps students in understanding where they are at in the learning process, and how they can improve their learning success. Timely and meaningful feedback is therefore one of the cornerstones of quality in higher education. A rising number of MCI departments are using the Sakai Assignment tool for student assignment submission. This tool allows lecturers to create feedback for students in both written and audio formats. In this article, we highlights two possible methods. >> Read more here   PRME Platform - SDGs in Teaching Are you looking for materials for PRME related lessons?   TEACHING & LEARNING ENGAGE YOUR STUDENTS WITH THE MCI THROWABLE MICROPHONE Engagement and active participation improves every lecture and knowledge sharing. However, this is easier said than done, especially with large-scale groups. With the MCI throwable microphone, you can activate students by simply throwing the dice. Everyone gets to participate in the discussion and simultaneously, develop their argumentation and communication skills. You can keep the discussion up to date and react spontaneously to the questions and comments. Contact us at learningsolutions@mci.edu  or just drop by if you want to borrow the throwable microphone for your lecture!    IS YOUR SAKAI WEBSITE READY FOR THE SEMESTER START? To help you design and develop a sound and attractive online course, we have developed a checklist as a quality assurance tool which will help you in self-evaluating your course. It will prompt you to reflect on what you have in your course, in what form, and what could be improved.   INNOVATION & INITIATIVE ADOBE CONNECT TROUBLESHOOTING Do you know the situation in the hectic pace just before the start of your webinar? To avoid such situations we highly recommend working with the checklist ‘Starting and ending a webinar’ when preparing for your webinar.   OUR "SHELODN" IN ACTION! One cannot plan everything. There always may appear an obstacle that makes it temporarily impossible for a student to physically attend a class (e.g. a long-term therapy/illness, physical frailty, longer stays abroad, etc.). However, we would like to respond as precisely as possible to the individual needs of every student and try to expand the concept of flexibility for each individual by using technologies. And here comes Sheldon in action! A demonstration of the technology you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F_WKOkDm1I Our Double Roboter “Sheldon” allows us to explore new types of flexibility! It is currently being used to enable a student who has no opportunity to attend the classes due to prolonged therapy. Communication takes place in form of a video conference. The student can actively participate in the class, i.e. to ask and answer questions, interact with the group and follow the lecture. If you have a case, where Sheldon could assist you or your students, please contact the Learning Solutions! We will be happy to provide you with more information and support for your specific case.   Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!Your Learning Solutions Team.

The winning team from the Fundação Instituto de Adminstração in Sao Paulo, who convinced the jury with their video "Let's make the difference", came all the way from Brazil to take part in the ceremony. The conference was also attended by two of the three runner-up teams, including an MCI team from Business Administration Online (Matteo Calzavara, Julian Marchant and David Manrique Suarez), whose video "Responsible Management Education Initiative" illustrates the consequences of ethical and unethical corporate behaviour for the future.
