Du wirst dabei unterstützt, im Team eine „Geschäftsidee“ für ein Projekt zu entwickeln und dieses innerhalb von 4 Monaten tatsächlich zu realisieren. Jedes Team erhält dazu eine/n eigene/n BetreuerIn, die/der das Projekt begleitet und das Team nach Bedarf unterstützt. Somit kannst Du Tools und Methoden für die erfolgreiche Umsetzung von Geschäftsideen kennenlernen und ausprobieren, und dadurch ohne Risiko wertvolle Erfahrungen in Bezug auf eine Unternehmensgründung sammeln. Teilnehmen kann Jede, die sich für eine selbständige unternehmerische Tätigkeit interessiert. Es ist egal, ob Du eine eigene Idee hast oder nicht. Du kannst Deine eigene Idee beim ersten Termin vorschlagen, oder dort Ideen für ein Projekt aus vorgeschlagenen Themenfeldern im Team erarbeiten. Beides ist willkommen. Interesse?   TEACHING & LEARNING Workshop on "Responsible Management Learning & Education” Register now for the workshop on "Responsible Management Learning & Education", which will be held on 18 December 2018 from 09:00-16:00 a.m. After the workshop, the speaker Oliver Laasch will be available for individual consultation for lecturers or also teaching teams wishing to discuss ideas, approaches or plans. Details about the workshop and the consultation are available here. With Dr. Oliver Laasch, we have succeeded in inviting a recognized expert on the subject of "Responsible Management Learning & Education". He is associate professor for strategy at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and holds a visiting professorship at the Institute for Global Ethics of the University of Tübingen. He also acts as a coach and consultant for companies and universities and teaches at Bachelor, Master, PhD and Executive level including in online formats (e.g. Coursera MOOC 'Managing Responsibly'). Since this semester the canteen introduced a new system for the ÖH-canteen-discount, in order to simplify the administration that comes with the discount. Students now have to register with their debit cards to be able to consume the 1€-ÖH-discount. Debit cards are used for identification because almost every one uses one and with that in mind it is possible to use just one payment/card-reading terminal for registration. The payment terminal only saves a so called #Hash, which consist of an internally generated card number. This #Hash doesn’t draw any inferences to the respective bank, account number or account holder whatsoever. The eligibility (eligible or not) for the ÖH-canteen-discount will be associated only with this generated #Hash and serves as an identification at the register. MCI students have to be registered at the SOWI-Lounge (not during lunch time), after that they can obtain the discount in all the canteens. Thank you for our understanding. To help you design and develop a sound and attractive online course, we have developed a checklist as a quality assurance tool which will help you in self-evaluating your course. It will prompt you to reflect on what you have in your course, in what form, and what could be improved. PRME Video Competition "Student Voice on Responsible Management Education" Together with five partner universities in Austria, Germany and Switzerland (PRME Chapter DACH), the MCI PRME team is currently organising the international video competition "Student Voices on Responsible Management Education". Students are invited to present in a short video on how they think they can best learn to become responsible professionals and managers. Information about the initiative can be found at http://www.mci.edu/prme4us We have already received registrations from universities in Australia, Brazil, Ukraine, Malaysia and other countries and are looking forward to many exciting video submissions.  The MCI has the lead in this initiative and we hope that our students will also submit many videos. It would be great if you could promote the video competition to your students. Maybe some of you also see a possibility to integrate the competition into a course. Time is short (submission date 14 October), but maybe it is possible to fit it in here or there. Due to the extremely positive outcomes of the pilot project, we will introduce MCI BADGES on a large scale from WS 2018/19. It would be great if you could support this innovative, extra-curricular offer and make your students aware of the possibility of "Boosting your Career prospects with MCI Badges" and actively encourage them to participate. Adobe Connect HTML5 Testversion - Beta Trial Adobe plans to migrate to an HTML5 client that supports all components of Adobe Connect in the fall (presumably). That would be a significant improvement. For example, it will no longer be necessary to install the Adobe Flash Player. Existing customers (= us too) can test the beta version.
