  • acquiring knowledge in the field Gender/Diversity in order to be able to recognise and reflect social differences in terms of e.g. gender, ethnic background or lifestyle.
    gaining competence to advocate the promotion, achievement and re-establishment of equal opportunities..
    understanding the importance of self reflection within the context of diversity in order to promote inclusive practice in social work.
    deepening knowledge on diversity, anti-discriminatory practice and most relevant differential categories.
Course contents
  • Students acquire knowledge in the field Gender/Diversity in order to be able to recognise and reflect social differences in terms of e.g. gender, ethnic background or lifestyle. The acquire the competence to advocate the promotion, achievement and re-establishment of equal opportunities in the field Gender/Diversity. The acquisition of knowledge/competences in the field Gender/Diversity is not only part of the course "Gender/Diversity Training" but also an implicit part of the competences acquired in other courses of this module.

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
