    - are able to design and manufacture simple constructions, including lightweight designs.
    - are familiar with the fundamental materials used in lightweight construction.
    - are acquainted with the basic composite materials.
    - can conduct tests to verify lightweight components.
    - are capable of performing basic calculations related to lightweight components.

  • - Mathematical fundamentals for the calculation of lightweight components
    - Materials in lightweight construction and their application areas
    - Composite materials
    - Design of lightweight components
    - Methods for manufacturing lightweight parts
    - Testing and inspection of lightweight components
    - Classical applications of lightweight construction in sports

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
