Fundraising concept for the House of Solidarity (HdS), Bressanone/Brixen

Development of a donation concept for the acquisition of young donors to ensure sustainable financing of the social cooperative House of Solidarity (HdS)

THE CHALLENGE
The House of Solidarity offers eco-social organizations and people in difficult situations a shelter. It tries to practice solidarity, to promote integration, to experiment with sustainability, to fight poverty effectively and efficiently, to strive a peaceful coexistence between different cultures, religions, generations, genders. In order to ensure sustainable financing of the HdS, a donation concept for the acquisition of young donors was developed.

OUTCOMES
Students from "Management & Law" conducted a literature research, a benchmark analysis and a quantitative study by means of an online questionnaire (n=336). As cornerstones of a possible donation concept for the acquisition of young donors, it was derived that the digital presence on social media platforms and on the homepage should be expanded, project-related donations and donations for precisely defined donation purposes should be offered, social media platforms should be used as communication channels for communicating with young donors, and gift donations should be considered as a possible special form of monetary donation.

Partner Statement
We were impressed by the commitment with which professors and students worked on the project. The collaboration was highly professional, but at the same time based on partnership. We received important information on the question posed and at the same time helpful hints for a more professional appearance. It was interesting that, in addition to the professional cooperation, students of a business subject gained insight into social issues and, conversely, members of the house management gained insight into the interests and focal points of students of the business subject. We are very grateful to the MCI for this cooperation and wish the students every success.
